Preventive Intervention for PTSD in Acute Trauma Survivors

Treatment administered soon after trauma could prevent or minimize the severity of PTSD symptoms. Very few studies have investigated the impact of acutely-delivered behavioral interventions for PTSD. In this project we are evaluating the efficacy and feasibility of an early intervention, specifically prolonged exposure therapy, to prevent PTSD.
